Water from the Rock

Hello everyone! You may be wondering why I have't blogged in so long. That's because I went camping at Kettle Lakes Provincial Parks with my family! We had so much fun! We left on Tuesday and returned on Friday. Anyway, I had started reading the book Exodus. After Moses led the people across the Red Sea, they came to a place called Marah with bitter water. Then the Isrealites grumbled and complained to Moses saying, "What are we to drink?" So Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a peice of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. Pretty amazing, huh? And this is only miracle #1! Then they set out into the desert later on. The Isrealites started grumbling and complaining again because they were hungry. And then the Lord rained down bread from heaven for them. When they started to grumble again, the Lord said they would eat meat in the evening and be filled with bread in the morning. And they did!! Miracle number 2! Then they camped somewhere and had no water to drink. So they quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water to drink." And they kept getting more angry and grumbling more. And so the Lord told Moses to strike the rock with his staff and water will come out from it. And it did!! Miracle number three! The Lord does great miracles for us. And everyone! So next time something bad happens, just pray for a miracle! That's all for now!! Bye everyone!

  1. Hi Abbie, This is auntie Patricia. We love your blog! We are reading that exact section in Exodus for our family bible study and the children have been drawing in their notebooks about each miracle. God is so wonderful and patient - isn't He? I love you and miss you - I hope we can visit each other soon.

    Love, Auntie Patricia
