Do you have God on Speed Dial?

Hey everyblogger! Before we get to the lesson, let's start with some blog news. Yes, I got a Full-Page Pet... or maybe pets. I hope you like them! So, I guess that's it 4 the blog news! Now, to the lesson. Hmm... sounds king of boring. Let's call it the message. I guess you know what's coming. Yes, this post is about praying! I subscibe to a Christian kid's magazine called ClubHouse. There's an article that I really like from the May 2008 issue. I thought I'd share it. So here we go- The Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions about Prayer.
1. How much does it cost to call God?
Nothing. You can come before God "without money and without cost" (Isaiah 55:1).
2. When I call God, will the line be busy?
No way. Jeremiah 33:3 tells you to call and He promises to answer.
3. Will I recognize His voice?
You are promised in John 10:4-5 that His sheep (followers of Christ) will know their Master's voice. Our shepherd is no stranger. Prayer is like chatting with a best friend.
4. Will God ever put me on hold?
If we sin, we have broken communication with Him.
5. How do I off hold?
Come clean about you have done. Commit not to follow the same sinful pattern. God will declare you free and clear and give you unlimited minutes once again.
6. Have I ever put God on hold?
If you have your daily devotions in the morning, that's a sweet start. But if you get busy at school and don't back with Him until homework, you have put Him on hold. By staying connected, you can fulfill the commandment "pray continually" in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
7. Will God ever hang up on me?
No, absolutely not, nada, no way, not in your lifetime.
8. What if I don't know what to say?
Go to Scripture and see prayers that others prayed. The Bible, especially the book of Psalms, is full of prayers!
9. Can I Instant Message God?
That's a great idea! By reading His Word, you can get the message He wrote to you. Then you can write in a journal to God. If you express yourself better on the computer, type your journaling!
10. What could I talk about that would please God?
Think of what you tell your close friends. What will produce a smile or make their eyes light up? Thank the Lord for the awesome things he's done. For example, 2 Corinthians 9:15 says, "Thanks be to God for the indescribable gift!" Most of all, tell him, "I love you, O lord" (Psalms 18:1). He will be delighted.
Did you like it? Feel free to comment! I think it's awesome. You don't even need a cell phone to tlak to God because He's right there.
