One Step at a Time

Hey, everyblogger! This has been a great weekend for me! How about you? And, congrats to Elizabeth! :) Oh No! I'm sorry! I just remembered, I haven't done a Joke of the Week in WEEKS! I have a good one. Let me tell you.

"These boys have been causing an awful lot of trouble at the zoo, Your Honor," said the manager of the zoo. "Boys," said the judge," I never like to see a case of juvenile delinquency. Tell me what you did." The first boy said, "My name is Tim, and I threw peanuts into the elephant pen." "My name is Larry," said the second boy, "and I threw peanuts into the elephant pen." "My name is George," said the third boy, "and I threw peanuts into the elephant pen." The fourth boy said, "My name is Peanuts."

LOL! Hope you liked that one. Anyway, I have a fish named King Bubbles the Magnificent, or Bubbles for short, as seen above. Sorry for the glare. Anyway, on February 4th, 2009, the day I got him, I put him in his new tank, and he was shy. He would hide in a corner and would NEVER eat in front of someone. It took awhile for him to get used to his new home. But today, well, he's swimming around very happily. Today I gave him a pinch of his daily fish flakes and he put a big one in his mouth, swam lower while it was half sticking out, and then gulped it down. My fish is a wonderful friend. One day, he almost died. But God did a miracle and kept him alive! He's a special friend. I love Bubbles. Before I got him, I read that male beta fish (which he is) make "bubble nests" to attract girls. And Bubbles made one! Even though I don't have a girl beta. But I'm still so proud of him. Today as I watched Bubbles eat his food, I was inspired. Earlier half his food would sink to the bottom before he could eat it. He took it one step at a time. First he was totally claustrophobic, then he swam around a little more, and now he's very social. He took it one step at a time. One step at a time. It's like if you want to be an amazing dancer and be on Dancing with the Stars, take one class first and gradually do more. If you want so badly to have the biggest American Girl doll collection ever, buy one or two first. It will be overwhelming to get them all very quickly. When you enter a new school, instead of aiming to be the "it" girl with so many friends you can't keep track of them, start with a few CFFs. You will have good relationships with your friends. So remember, tackle big things one step at a time. :?)
Well, I have to go because I have church tomorrow! Better get to bed.
Love, Abbie =D
